This is my first trip to Australia and so far it has been amazing. I came down here first and for most to compete in two snowboard contests, both a part of the World Snowboard Tour & the Australian slopestyle Tour. The first event called the Mile High, was held in a resort named Perisher. I qualified in to finals after only riding two days on my board after a long summer break. I also won best trick and received the award "Carlton 30". Aside from snowboarding I came down here to explore the stunning nature & unique wildlife Australia has to offer. After the contest in Perisher we drove to a resort called Thredbo that reminded me of Aspen in Colorado. The mountain there was fun to explore, they had some great snowboard parks and people are so friendly and helpful to tourists. When traveling between these resorts it is very common to see kangaroos, wombats, parrots and wild horses, as these areas all are located in and around national parks and forests. The most breathtaking drive was from Thredbo to Falls Creek in Victoria - Eukalyptus trees, rivers, wildlife... Had to stop more than a couple of times to capture and take in the beauty. Right now it is pouring rain/ snow outside. The contest called Stylewars has been postponed until tomorrow as forecast is promising sunshine. Check back in again to see more of my adventures from Aussie land.

The drive is long but exciting. It took a while to get used to the fact that you drive on the opposite side of the rode here :)

Who knew there would be citrus fruit growing in the winter time? Stopped to sleep at a cozy motel filled with crystals and good vibes.

The Eucalyptus trees have been one of my favorite things about Australia. Thy are actually quite tasty to make tee out of.
